Is politics broken?
It’s been an eventful week for the local Labour Party representatives and its members.
Firstly the Leader Ray Oxby resigns, then Melanie Onn, despite promises to reflect the will of her constituents, votes to the contrary.
Now we have two Councillors, one of whom is now the interim Leader in front of standards for various complaints and breaches.
With the Grimsby seat and NELC council strongholds for Labour will all these issues make a difference in May with local elections?
One Immingham resident who didn’t want to be named said, “This is disgraceful what the Labour Party have turned into both locally and nationally. They really seem to want to ignore what the people have to say, like they know better, it’s not on.”
